The majority of our work comes from repeat customers. Last year we served over 600 different companies, many new to Stress Engineering but most being clients with whom we have had a successful working relationship for many years.
Working with Stress Engineering Services
All of our work is done on a project basis. This typically begins with a call from you, followed by transmittal of technical requirements, drawings, parts, etc. Many of our clients require a confidentiality agreement be signed before documents are exchanged.
Once a scope of work is agreed upon, we will prepare a proposal outlining our understanding of the project, providing cost and schedule information, and detailing the project deliverables (report, software, instrumentation, etc.). Typically we can prepare a quote within 2-3 days. In many cases new clients wish to visit one of our offices to discuss the project during the proposal process. We always welcome these opportunities to meet face-to-face with our customers and provide a tour of our office and laboratory facilities.
Stress Engineering conducts projects on both a fixed-fee and a time-and-materials basis. Both approaches have their advantages and the best approach depends largely on the type of project being proposed; in all cases the final decision as to how the project is conducted rests with you.
